CLINICAL USE
Boehringer Spirometers
continue to be the choice of our customers who value high quality and
reliability. The increasing spread of tuberculosis is causing
customers to turn to stream autoclaved spirometers - available only
from Boehringer Laboratories. With increased concern today about
infection and cross contamination, the sterilizable Boehringer
Spirometers help to ensure maximum patient safety. Because our
instruments can be sterilized, they also reduce the possibility of
hospital-acquired infections, which constitute a serious public
health problem.
The determination of minute
ventilation in the ICU or O.R. is mandatory for adequate assessment
of a patients respiratory status. Measurement of vital capacity
is an equally important respiratory parameter to evaluate
preoperatively, postoperatively or in the patient with progressive
neuromuscular weakness (i.e. myasthenia gravis). Our instruments
answer the need for accurate, portable and rugged Spirometers.
