Full Time : Project Engineer: Duties/Responsibilities: We are seeking a hands-on, practical and dynamic individual to manage existing products as well as assist in the development of new and innovative products along with their associated manufacturing processes. The position is a highly visible function with interaction across all functions and reporting at the Director level.
Qualifications: Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical) and significant relevant experience.
Specific Duties include:
Project development and return on investment (ROI) justification
Project implementation
Product and system Pareto analysis
Assembly process development and methods
CAD
Cost Reduction
Product research and development
Hand Assembler:
Duties/Responsibilities:
Boehringer is looking for top-notch mechanical assemblers. Position will require the assembly of small mechanical parts and the use of hand tools and some machinery. Work requires some standing, sitting and light lifting. Good hand to eye coordination and mechanical aptitude is a must. Must be capable of reading and following procedures. Knowledge of vacuum and flow desired. Mandatory overtime is often required.
Boehringer Laboratories hires students throughout the year to work in our Engineering department under the direction of our Director of Engineering, John Karpowicz. Typically the students are at least sophomores pursuing, as a minimum, a B.S. in the following Engineering disciplines: Mechanical, Bio, Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing, and Electrical. We offer real engineering work that allows the student to concentrate on multiple projects that have a real impact on our company and its products.
