Scavenging "Pop-Off" Valve
Clinical Use
The most important component of the scavenging system is the "pop-off" valve. This valve must function effectively as a "pop-off" and as a vehicle to conduct excess anesthetic gas to a ventilation grill or suction source. It attaches directly to any anesthesia machine or to the common mask systems through a scavenging adapter. Our valve design meets these requirements.
Features
- Positive opening and closing
- Only two moving parts, no springs or diaphragms
- Variable flow geometry for optimal control
- Universally adaptable to virtually any anesthesia machine
- Easy installation on existing machines (estimate 5 minutes with provided wrench)
- May be used with wall suction (using Scavenger-Vacuum Safety Interface, Model 5300)
